In2262,EarthforceCaptainElizabethLochleyisappointedtocommandBabylon5.ThestationgrowsinitsroleasasanctuaryforroguetelepathsrunningfromthePsiCorps,resultinginconflict.G’Kar,formerNarnambassadortoBabylon5,becomesunwillinglyaspiritualiconafterabookispublishedthathewrotewhileincarceratedduringtheNarn-CentauriWar.TheDrakh,formeralliesoftheShadowswhoremainedinthegalaxy,takecontrolofRegentVirinionCentauriPrimethroughaparasiticcreaturecalledaKeeper,theninciteawarbetweentheCentauriandtheInterstellarAlliance,inordertoisolatetheCentaurifromtheAllianceandgainamalleablehomeworldforthemselves.CentauriPrimeisdevastatedbyNarnandDraziwarshipsandLondoMollaribecomesemperor,acceptingaDrakhKeeperunderthreatofthecompletenucleardestructionoftheplanet.(Portionsoftheendofhisreignareseeninvariousprescientvisionsthroughouttheseries;theyshowMollariandformernemesis(andlaterfriend)G’Karsixteenyearsinthefuturedyingateachother’sthroats,seeminglyoutoftheirgrudge.Itisgraduallyrevealedthattherewasamuchmorefriendlysubtext,withMollarihavingbecomeaslavetothedrakhruleandbeingtiredoflife;hisDrakhKeeperawakensandstranglesG’Karinreturn.VirCotto,Mollari’sloyalandmoremoralaide,succeedshimasemperor,freeofDrakhinfluence.SheridanandDelennmarryandmovetoMinbar,alongwiththeheadquartersoftheInterstellarAlliance.G’KarleavesBabylon5toescapehisunwantedfameandexploretherim.GaribaldialsomarriesandsettlesdownonMars.MostoftheothermaincharactersleaveB5.Nineteenyearslateronthevergeofdeath,SheridantakesafinaltriptotheobsoleteBabylon5stationbeforeitsdecommissioning.SheridanapparentlydiesbutisclaimedbytheFirstOnes,whoinvitehimtojointhemonajourneybeyondtherimofthegalaxy.Babylon5stationisdestroyedinademolitionshortlyafterSheridan’sdeparture,itsexistencenolongernecessaryastheAlliancehastakenoveritsdiplomaticpurposes.ThisfinalepisodefeaturesacameobyStraczynskiasthetechnicianwhoswitchesoffthelightsbeforeBabylon5isdemolished.
